Background
It is a fact that the ageing of the population is causing major social and political changes, as well as different economic and social demands at all levels. Aware of this situation and convinced that there are solution ways to face the challenge, managers and professional experts from AMBAR Telecommunications, IDIVAL and GIF, combined knowledge, technical capability and accumulated experience, to associate and design the proposal TeDFES. A project that has received the endorsement of the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, in addition to having a budget of 2.8 million Euros.
Objective
The TeDFES project (Technologies and Photonic Devices for Healthy Aging) aims to advance towards “digital health”, improving supervision, diagnosis and actions in elderly people, both in primary or ambulatory care and in residential areas.
Mission statement
Attempt to contribute to the healthy ageing of the elderly. To this end, TeDFES seeks to promote the development of new technologies and photonic devices, the business application of new ideas and techniques, encourage the creation of new products and services, generate employment and improve the technological balance of Spain, always based on medical rigor.
Vision
To contribute to maintaining Spain’s international leadership in some of the great challenges of the future society in the fields of Health, Demographic Change and Wellbeing.
